HISTORY

Hamarikyu is a traditional Japanese garden remembered in connection with the Tokugawa Family. It is a precious cultural asset representing the large gardens that developed during the Edo Period. The garden is known as the oasis of the metropolis, and many local residents as well as tourist come to have a relaxing time. It is also easy to access, for there is a stop where the water bus arrives and departs directly. If you look up beyond the trees, you will find Tokyo Tower and skyscrapers not too far, and have the scene of traditional and modern Tokyo at the same time.
