Then the show went into the latter half, with <Omotesando Hills Collection> featuring brands that have shops within the shopping mall. Because Omotesando, the main street of the district, holds a number of Western brands (many of them luxury brands) as is the case for Omotesando Hills, the show was consisted of more non-Japanese brands and boutiques than Japanese ones. This part of the show included mens and ladies clothes from Selframe, axia “X-rated”, urbanholics, NAPAPIJRI, Porsche Design and KiwaSylphy. Save for a few dresses, the coordinates were casual street wear that are not so flashy, relaxed yet fashionable gear.

Following it was the <Special Show LOUIS VUITTON> led by pop fashion model, actress and rock singer Tuchiya Anna. I didn’t realize it was her until she took off the black fur hat unveiling her face and blonde-dyed curled hair, but I can remember the astonishment I felt when she came out on the stage. Certainly, all of the models appearing in this show were professional fashion models, but she had this unique atmosphere that I could only call it aura or dignity. I’ll write a bit more about her in the last part of this article.

Louis Vuitton Special Collection

Eight models all together came out for the LOUIS VUITTON stage, each wearing and carrying the name brand’s winter collection this year. I have to say I was astonished by the variety of the LV bag designs. Frankly I’m not a luxury-brand-person so I wasn’t too keen on the newest models of the brand, yet I am updated to the point that what they have are so much more than the brand’s traditional two-color LV designs. Though the whole of the coordinates left a mature, classy impression as always, there could be some casualness sensed as well as some innovation in the designs.

When all the models came out at once on the stage and left leaving a great round of applause ringing in the stairwell hall, the fashion show part of the event ended. Nevertheless, there was more to see and that was what they called the “Objet of Light” in which the lights and mirror balls hanging from the high ceiling presented a spectacle of light. Quite honestly, I would say that there was much to work on if they wanted to make it a real spectacle for I thought it lacked dynamism. It was pretty in terms of how the light twinkled, but in a hall as large as that twinkling wasn’t quite enough. Still the mini show of light and music was pleasing for a night close to the end of the year.

finale
All the models came out on the stage once again arousing a great round of applause in the hall.
